Once you have completed the creation of your template you need to save it in a location where every user can access. If you haven’t read may other blog posts I would suggest taking look start with Autodesk Revit Template and go from there. So I would recommend taking the default template and selecting to create a new project template. Using the out of the box template is fine but they wont have your company standards defined. So lets say I work for a structural engineering company I can select the Structural Template. Please note this blog is based around the UK Revit templates and other countries may have different discipline templates.Īs you can see from the above screenshot I can choose from many templates.

Which should be a great start for you and your company to start building your template. Such as Construction, Architecture, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing. The default library has a number of discipline specific templates to choose from. If you need any other versions please type into the search bar and it should bring them up.
